Sajou is a dedicated honor student known for achieving perfect scores on every subject during his high school entrance exam. Kusakabe spends his time playing guitar in a band that performs at live events and enjoys considerable popularity among the girls at school. Under normal circumstances, these two young men would never cross paths in their daily lives.
However, everything changes when Kusakabe offers to assist Sajou with preparations for their upcoming chorus festival. As they begin meeting together after school, they connect through music and start to harmonize, leading their hearts to beat together. What begins slowly soon blossoms into deeper feelings as both boys realize they have fallen in love.
Kusakabe approaches his emotions in a way that is frivolous, pure, and direct, which initially causes Sajou to hesitate. Despite this initial reluctance, Sajou gradually learns to open his heart to Kusakabe. Throughout this time, they learn about themselves and each other while supporting one another through the challenges of their youth, eventually having to confront the reality of their approaching futures.
