Struggling director Dan Burton and his aspiring actress wife Lisa travel to a remote lakeside cabin for a weekend meant to mend their strained marriage. In reality, both harbor secret intentions to murder one another. Dan has enlisted an ex-convict named Henry to help him kill Lisa for her life insurance money, while Lisa has formulated her own plot to stage a fatal hunting accident using one of Dan's father's guns.
Before either can execute their plan, their hidden agendas come to light as they confront accumulated grievances, including financial ruin and infidelity.
