As the captain of the elite team Excellent Era and the handler of the premier Battle God account One Autumn Leaf, he achieves massive success. However, friction arises when he refuses to participate in commercial marketing events meant to profit the organization.
Pressured by the management, he is forced to resign, relinquishing his iconic account and stepping away from the professional competitive scene entirely. Needing employment, Ye Xiu takes a night-shift manager position at the nearby Happy Internet Cafe. There, he meets the cafe owner, Chen Guo, who is an ardent fan of his former persona Ye Qiu and the Excellent Era team.
When Glory launches its tenth server, Ye Xiu seizes the opportunity to re-enter the virtual world anonymously.
