Seitokai Yakuindomo plot recap, spoiler-light
Tsuda Takatoshi begins his high school journey at Ōsai Academy, an institution that recently transitioned from an all-girl school to a co-educational facility due to declining birth rates. Because of the heavily skewed male-to-female ratio, Tsuda is surrounded almost exclusively by female students from the moment he steps onto the train and walks to campus. Shortly after arriving on his first day, he is forcibly recruited into the student council as the vice-president, becoming the only male member among a group of eccentric girls.
The core conflict and setup revolve around Tsuda attempting to navigate his new academic environment while reacting to the constant, candid, and often shockingly crude conversations initiated by his peers. These interactions form the basis of his daily life as he constantly plays the straight man to their endless stream of suggestive jokes and misunderstandings. As the narrative progresses, Tsuda and the rest of the student council continue to manage school affairs, interact with various other students and faculty, and maintain their established comedic dynamic through countless minor episodes and school events.
