Texhnolyze plot recap, spoiler-light
Deep underground, the decaying city of Lux survives by mining raffia, a rare material vital for advanced prosthetics known as texhnolyze. Ichise, an orphan and former prize fighter, loses an arm and a leg after angering a promoter. Scientist Eriko Kaneda saves him by attaching experimental prosthetic limbs, pulling him into a brutal territorial war.
Lux is fractured by competing factions vying for absolute control. The Organo crime syndicate rules the city, opposed by the rebellious Salvation Union and the chaotic Raccan youths. Along the way, Ichise crosses paths with Ran, a young seer from Gabe who glimpses alternate futures and offers guidance in his darkest moments.
Chaos deepens when Kazuho Yoshi arrives from the surface to manipulate the factions. After Ichise eliminates Yoshi, a far greater threat emerges from the shadows. A secretive, inbred elite group called The Class, led by the visionary Kano, unleashes biomechanical soldiers named Shapes to conquer Lux. As the faction warfare escalates, the entire underground society drifts rapidly toward total collapse and destruction.
