The story centers on Kogarashi Fuyuzora, an unlucky and homeless high school student who possesses hands-on psychic abilities. After previously suffering possession by an evil ghost, he finds himself burdened by significant financial debt and desperately searches for an affordable place to live. His search leads him to the Yuragi Inn, a cheap boarding house that once operated as a hot springs inn.
The incredibly low rent is due to the building being haunted by the spirit of a beautiful girl named Yuuna, whose physical corpse was discovered right there on the premises. Despite facing strong initial resistance from the other female tenants living in the building, Kogarashi manages to secure his room and begins his new life at the location. As he settles in, he aids Yuuna in trying to resolve her lingering unfinished business. Along the way, he also uncovers various supernatural secrets belonging to the rest of the women residing at the boarding house, blending daily life with paranormal elements as he navigates his unusual living arrangement and psychic burdens.
