Planet of the Apes (Reboot) watch order

The Planet of the Apes movie franchise consists of four films that follow a chronological progression starting with Rise of the Planet of the Apes, where a chimpanzee named Caesar is taken to a cruel primate facility and revolts. This is followed by Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, which depicts scientists struggling to survive after a plague while Caesar maintains dominance over his community. War for the Planet of the Apes follows, showing Caesar in conflict with a ruthless Colonel. Finally, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes takes place several generations following Caesar's reign. Because the entries follow this sequential timeline from Caesar's life to generations later, watching them in release order matches the chronological order of the narrative.
