Sōta Mizushino is an avid high school anime fan who aspires to write his own light novel. While seeking inspiration from the mecha anime Elemental Symphony of Vogelchevalier, his tablet malfunctions and pulls him directly into the fictional setting. There, he watches a fierce clash between the anime protagonist Selesia and an enigmatic girl in a military uniform.
Sōta manages to return to the real world alongside Selesia, but they soon discover this crossover phenomenon is much larger. Multiple fictional characters from various media are suddenly appearing in the real world. A faction of these displaced creations aligns themselves with the military uniform princess, who has lured them in with false promises of ending their native worlds' struggles and granting them a way home.
Unaware of her true and potentially destructive intentions, these characters pose a severe threat. Determined to prevent catastrophe and protect every existing world, Sōta and Selesia form an alliance to track down the remaining characters and halt the plans of the military uniform princess before she can enact her rebellion against the land of the gods.
