Best friends Tess and DeeDee are left searching for a new path when their Stank Rail jobs vanish. Looking for an upgrade, they slip aboard the luxurious Glamazonian Express disguised as crew members. There, they encounter snooty first-class attendants Amber, Alli, and Ayshleiygh, who quickly make their presence known.
Back at headquarters, worker Donna Dusk realizes the train is barreling toward a massive weather event known as Stormaganza. To complicate matters further, the vehicle loses its brakes and heads directly toward Florida, originally expected to crash into a nuclear site situated between an abandoned dog shelter and Laurie Metcalf's home, while President Judy Gagwell struggles with painful memories from her past rail service days. When the lead conductor falls ill from a scorpion sting, DeeDee and attractive co-conductor Cal take over, though their mutual attraction creates constant distractions.
Seeking safety from the terrible weather, the crew guides the vehicle into a spooky, haunted tunnel. Inside, Tess begins fitting in remarkably well with the elite first-class group, eventually replacing Amber. This newfound divide creates tension between the two longtime friends, with DeeDee feeling left behind while Tess accuses DeeDee of holding her back.
