Wicked: For Good plot recap, spoiler-light
Following her defiance of the Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Elphaba Thropp lives in hiding, fighting for Animal rights while branded as the Wicked Witch of the West. Glinda Upland serves as the Wizard's spokesperson and prepares to marry Fiyero Tigelaar, Captain of the Gale Force. Tensions rise when Elphaba visits her sister Nessarose, leading to a tragic spell accident involving Boq that turns him into a tin man.
Elphaba later confronts the Wizard and Madame Morrible after discovering imprisoned Animals, interrupting Glinda and Fiyero's wedding before escaping. Believing Elphaba and Fiyero are romantically involved, a vengeful Glinda helps the regime craft a trap. Morrible summons a deadly tornado that crushes Nessarose with a house from Kansas, setting off a chain of events that brings Dorothy Gale into the conflict.
Fiyero is captured and brutally beaten after defending Elphaba, who retreats to Kiamo Ko. Despairing over her failures, Elphaba ultimately embraces her reputation as wicked while an angry mob prepares to hunt her down, leading straight into the dramatic final act of Wicked: For Good.
