Humanity has retreated into the isolated city-state of Flandore, where separate glass domes protect the population from the savage lycanthropes roaming the eternal darkness outside. Within these walls, society is sharply divided. Only the nobility can manifest mana through their blood to fight these monsters.
Melida Angel attends an elite academy, but despite her noble lineage on her father's side, she has failed to awaken her mana. Because of her suspected impure bloodline stemming from her commoner mother, her grandfather dispatches the half-vampire assassin Kufa. Kufa is ordered to secretly test Melida and execute her if she proves incapable of wielding mana.
However, upon witnessing her spirited determination, Kufa cannot bring himself to carry out the execution. Instead of ending her life, he commits a treasonous act by transferring a portion of his own mana to her, setting off a dangerous hidden dynamic as they navigate elite academy life, societal prejudice, and the constant threat of lycanthrope attacks lurking just beyond the glass walls of Flandore.
