Four years after surviving his ordeal with the Grabber, Finney Blake is still struggling with his trauma. Meanwhile, his younger sister Gwen begins experiencing vivid dreams about 1957 murders at Alpine Lake Camp and receives calls from their deceased mother, Hope. Suspecting a supernatural connection, Gwen, Finney, and Ernesto travel to the remote winter camp.
A severe blizzard traps them alongside the camp owner Armando, his niece Mustang, and employees Kenneth and Barbara. Soon after arriving, Finney receives a chilling call on a dead payphone from the Grabber, who claims to have escaped Hell to seek revenge. As Gwen is violently attacked within her dreams, the trapped group realizes they must uncover the long-hidden bodies of the Grabber's past victims to weaken his grip on the spiritual realm.
They soon discover that Armando, Hope, and the killer all shared a dark history at the camp, and Gwen learns the truth about her mother's real fate. Their father Terrence eventually arrives via snowplow, prompting a candid confrontation about their shared trauma and substance abuse before the group unites to face the rising supernatural danger.
