Good Boy plot recap, spoiler-light
Nineteen-year-old Tommy is a volatile, aggressive delinquent who films his violent escapades and drug-fueled parties for social media. One night during a drunken bender with his girlfriend Gabby, Tommy gets separated from his friends in the crowd. A shadowy figure suddenly abducts him from the street, rendering him unconscious.
Tommy wakes up to find himself trapped in the cellar of a sprawling, isolated house in the Yorkshire countryside. The property is inhabited by a deeply eccentric family, including a man named Chris, his reclusive wife Kathryn, and their young son Jonathan. A Macedonian housekeeper named Rina is also trapped in her employment through blackmail regarding her visa status.
Chris subjects Tommy to a bizarre regime of lectures, old videos of his delinquent online behavior, and severe physical punishments whenever he resists. However, as time passes, the family gradually softens their approach, providing books, movies, and eventually more freedom around the house as Tommy's hostile temperament begins to calm down significantly.
