Dolly plot recap, spoiler-light
In the horror film Dolly, young Macy and her boyfriend Chase travel to a remote East Tennessee mountain area for a hiking trip where an engagement is planned. While separated, Chase stumbles upon a large woman wearing a porcelain doll mask who is burying a headless corpse. The masked assailant brutally attacks Chase with a shovel, breaking his leg and mutilating his jaw before abandoning him.
Unaware of this attack, Macy searches for her missing boyfriend and soon encounters the same masked figure, who pursues her through the dense forest and captures her. Macy wakes up confined inside a nursery crib within a remote house. She learns from another captive man in an adjacent room that she must follow the captor's twisted rules and locate a key.
The woman, identified as Dolly, subjects Macy to severe abuse and disturbing childlike roleplay, attempting to force the young woman to become her replacement baby. Meanwhile, a severely injured Chase regains consciousness alone out in the wilderness, desperately trying to survive his wounds while unaware of Macy's exact whereabouts in the secluded house.
