Frankenstein plot recap, spoiler-light
In the film Frankenstein, brilliant but arrogant surgeon Victor becomes obsessed with conquering death after his mother dies giving birth to his younger brother William. The Creature survives the inferno, while Victor loses his leg in the explosion. Over the following year, the Creature secretly aids a family, learns to read from a blind patriarch, and eventually discovers the truth about his origins.
