Scary Movie plot recap, spoiler-light
Twenty-six years after dodging a masked murderer, the Core Four find themselves targeted once again when a new killer terrorizes the younger generation. After teenager Tuesday Campbell is assaulted by Ghostface while watching an in-universe spoof, her older half-sister Sara and boyfriend Jack Kirsch investigate the incident. They connect the violence to the historic killing spree of the original Ghostface, Doofy Gilmore.
Seeking answers, they approach Sara's reclusive mother Cindy Campbell, who initially stays back out of fear that the attacks are an elaborate trap. Meanwhile, a younger crew of high schoolers—including Brad, Dei, Elle, and Jess—also learns about the hospital attack and bands together, soon joined by the perpetually stoned Shorty. Brenda Meeks and her husband Ray Wilkins also cross paths with the chaotic events as panic spreads through the community.
Sara and Jack seek out Doofy, who temporarily drops his disabled facade to offer guidance before the group convenes at Brenda's house. There, Brenda analyzes the unfolding scenario through the lens of modern horror reboot trends, realizing that both the legacy survivors and their children are prime targets for elimination.
