Shark Frenzy plot recap, spoiler-light
Shark Frenzy introduces a deadly setup driven by personal tragedy and scientific obsession. Paul King had succumbed to kidney cancer, leaving his wife Amelia Lockhart to grieve while eventually moving on with a new partner, Tom Reed. Five years later, Paul's grieving father, researcher Preston King, lures the medical professionals who failed to cure his son to an uncharted sanctuary in the western Pacific.
Amelia and Tom accompany the gathering, unaware of the grim reality waiting for them. Preston discloses that he halted Paul's death by rewriting his stem cells with hammerhead shark genetics. The outcome is Hammerhead, a monstrous hybrid locked in an observation tank.
Harboring intense resentment over his prior termination, Preston unleashes the creature to butcher the visiting specialists. The terrified group flees into the wilderness as Hammerhead stalks the coastline and vegetation, slaughtering Bernie, Julie, Katie Medevenko, and Jane one by one while the compound descends into chaos.
