Alien: Romulus plot recap, spoiler-light
In the year 2142, orphaned colonist Rain Carradine seeks to escape her bleak life on the mining colony Jackson's Star. Teamed up with her adopted android brother Andy, her ex-boyfriend Tyler, pregnant sister Kay, cousin Bjorn, and Bjorn's adopted sister Navarro, they plan to steal cryostasis pods from an abandoned Weyland-Yutani space station called Renaissance. The station consists of two modules, Romulus and Remus.
Upon boarding, the group accidentally triggers a lockdown and awakens numerous facehugger parasites, one of which attacks and impregnates Navarro. Desperate for help, Rain upgrades Andy with a chip from a damaged station android named Rook, but the new programming shifts Andy's primary loyalty to the corporation. Rook reveals that the station holds a xenomorph recovered from the Nostromo wreckage, which scientists experimented on to harvest a mutagenic compound called Z-01. Chaos erupts when an infant alien bursts from Navarro, causing a ship crash that accelerates the station toward destruction against the planet's rings.
