Space Dandy plot recap, spoiler-light
The space opera centers on Dandy, a stylish alien bounty hunter operating under the self-description of being a dandy guy in space. His primary objective is to track down undiscovered and rare alien species across the universe to collect cash rewards, working much faster than anyone else in the galaxy. Accompanying him on these episodic journeys are QT, a bucket-of-bolts robot assistant, and Meow, a dimwit feline alien they picked up along the way.
Throughout their travels, the trio encounters bizarre new planets, strange inhabitants, and various cosmic anomalies. Unbeknownst to Dandy, he is actively pursued by Dr. Gel of the Gogol Empire, who seeks to capture him.
The overarching narrative unfolds through a series of loose adventures where continuity is frequently disregarded. In multiple episodes, the main protagonists and their antagonists meet ends, turn into zombies, or get trapped in alternate dimensions, only to reappear completely normal in the very next installment as the space opera continues its episodic march.
