Hope arrives when Ramon's OFW aunt Teresa sends over 127,000 pesos via a remittance center. However, Sylvia hits a major roadblock when the remittance center refuses to release the funds because she only possesses a single PhilHealth ID, lacking the mandatory second valid identification. Aided by her relative Mercy and a young hospital acquaintance named Denver, Sylvia desperately attempts to navigate bureaucratic red tape to secure more IDs.
Meanwhile, Ramon's health deteriorates further as he contracts hospital-acquired pneumonia. Ramon suggests returning to their province, but Sylvia refuses to give up.
