Exit 8 plot recap, spoiler-light
A man rides a subway train where he witnesses a harsh passenger berating a mother for a crying baby, choosing to do nothing. Afterward, his ex-girlfriend calls to reveal her pregnancy and asks for his guidance, but the call drops as he enters a station. He quickly finds himself trapped in a sterile, endlessly repeating subterranean passageway known as Exit 8.
To escape this surreal nightmare, he must follow a strict set of rules posted on the walls. If he notices any strange anomaly in the corridor, he must turn back immediately. If the hallway appears completely normal, he must press forward.
Missing even a single unusual detail immediately punishes him by resetting all of his progress back to the very beginning. As he navigates the looping halls, the anomalies escalate from subtle poster changes to terrifying visions like blood raining down. Along the way, he receives another phone call from his ex, confesses his deep insecurities about fatherhood, and encounters a mysterious mute child who begins aiding his journey.
