Maari forms a new sailboat racing team called the Mugavai Mainthans for the annual festival in Mugavaipattinam, sparking a fierce rivalry with Kittan, leader of the dominant Tsunami Riders. After an attempted attack and escalating violence, Maari's lover Baagam Priyazh sends him to Chennai, where he stays with Muthukaali, a legendary former sailor and Angel's ex-boyfriend. Learning of the ongoing threat from Kittan and his ruthless father Sattapuli, Kaali decides to step back into the fray.
He defies the danger and returns to the coastal village alongside Maari, shocking Sattapuli and his associates. Kaali publicly announces that he will coach the Mugavai Mainthans for the upcoming race, challenging Sattapuli's monopoly on the sport. Sattapuli accepts the challenge under strict terms, while manipulating local authorities to prepone the competition and disrupt their preparations.
Despite a sabotage attempt by Kittan that causes a major accident during a practice run, Kaali steels his resolve. He reveals a decades-old past involving friendship, business betrayals, stolen relief funds, and the tragic death of Machamuni, which drove Kaali away in exile. With both sides officially registered, the stage is set for a final confrontation on the water.
