Keeper plot recap, spoiler-light
In the horror mystery film Keeper, couple Liz and Malcolm travel to an isolated cabin to celebrate their one-year anniversary. Their romantic getaway is quickly disrupted when Malcolm's obnoxious cousin Darren and Darren's girlfriend Minka arrive unexpectedly. Before long, strange occurrences plague the property.
Liz finds a mysterious boxed cake that Malcolm insists she eat, despite Minka warning her about its terrible taste. Soon, Liz begins experiencing deeply unsettling visions of bloodied women and a pregnant woman who shares her exact appearance. During the night, a compelled Liz eats the rest of the cake and discovers severed fingers baked inside it.
The next morning, Minka is attacked by an invisible force while walking in the woods. Malcolm leaves the cabin to attend to a patient, leaving Liz completely isolated. As supernatural entities begin manifesting around the house, Darren shows up demanding entry.
Liz hides in the bathroom as Darren wanders the halls with a cleaver before unseen forces brutally kill him. When Malcolm finally returns, a terrified Liz begs to leave the property immediately.
