Vultures plot recap, spoiler-light
Set on the Llano Estacado in the late 19th century, Vultures begins when a pioneer farm is brutally raided and Baumann loses his wife. A Mormon preacher named Weller and a military officer soon arrive, blaming Shoshoni Indians and promising a punitive expedition. However, young Martin remains skeptical and shares his doubts with travelers Old Surehand, Old Wabble, and Annie.
Together, they uncover a conspiracy: Weller and the officer actually belong to the ruthless Vultures gang responsible for the violence. After the fake officer dies, Weller flees upon discovering that Annie possesses a valuable package of diamonds. The bandits plot a larger attack against the pioneer camp.
To prevent this catastrophe, Old Surehand, Old Wabble, Martin, and Annie set out to warn them. Unfortunately, Annie is captured by the criminals, forcing Martin to mount a rescue mission. He succeeds with crucial help from Apache chief Winnetou, an old friend of Old Surehand. Meanwhile, Baumann falls into Shoshoni hands due to his misplaced vengeance.
