Wild Sing plot recap, spoiler-light
Back in 2001, nineteen-year-old dancer Hwang Hyun-woo joined rapper Gu Sang-gu and vocalist Byeon Do-mi in the co-ed pop group Triangle, created by small-time producer Park Yong-gu. After launching with the massive hit song Love Is, the trio achieved massive stardom. Disaster struck overnight when rival singer Choi Seong-gon fell into a ruinous drug scandal, the group discovered they were never paid, and news broke that their hit track was plagiarized despite Hyun-woo receiving public credit.
Producer Yong-gu fled the country, Do-mi walked away, and Triangle disintegrated in utter disgrace. More than two decades later, Hyun-woo scrapes by on minor broadcasting gigs until a lucrative reunion concert offer emerges, promising a potential new television music show. Desperate for a second chance, Hyun-woo tracks down Sang-gu, who is drowning in debt and working as an insurance salesman, and Do-mi, who lives a stifling existence as a wealthy businessman's wife. Both initially refuse his pleas, but Hyun-woo slowly persuades them to give the reunion a chance while disgraced former star Choi Seong-gon also prepares for a parallel comeback performance.
